Rutiner ("we", "our", or "us") is a personal habit tracking app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information.

1. Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide the app's functionality:

• Account information: email address (for authentication)
• Profile data: display name, profile photo (optional)
• Habit data: habit names, completion records, skips, freezes, categories
• Journal entries: mood ratings, notes, tags, and photos you attach
• Preferences: sleep schedule, motivation style, streak philosophy, tracking reason, notification settings

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Rutiner app experience:

• Display your habits, streaks, statistics, and journal entries
• Send you habit reminders and motivational notifications (if enabled)
• Personalize quotes and insights based on your motivation style
• Generate weekly reviews and progress statistics

We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties for advertising, marketing, or any other purpose.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted PostgreSQL database service. All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption). Database access is protected by Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring you can only access your own data.

Photos are stored in a secure cloud storage bucket isolated by user account.

4. Authentication

We offer Sign in with Apple and email/password authentication. Passwords are hashed and managed by our authentication provider (Supabase Auth). We never store plaintext passwords. Apple Sign In uses cryptographic nonce verification for security.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party service:

• Supabase (supabase.com): database hosting, authentication, and file storage. Supabase processes data on our behalf and is subject to their own privacy policy.

We do not use analytics services, advertising SDKs, crash reporting tools, or any other third-party data processors.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Rutiner offers an optional premium subscription ("Rutiner+") with two plans:

• Monthly: $3.99 per month
• Yearly: $29.99 per year

Both plans include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store — we never receive or store your payment information.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.

Pricing may vary by region based on App Store pricing tiers. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access: You can export all your data at any time via Settings > Export data.
• Right to portability: Exported data is provided in a standard JSON format.
• Right to deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data via Settings > Delete account. This removes all habits, completions, journal entries, photos, and profile data immediately and irreversibly.
• Right to rectification: You can edit your profile, habits, and journal entries at any time within the app.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all data is permanently removed from our database and storage within 24 hours. We do not maintain backups of deleted accounts.

9. Children's Privacy

Rutiner is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Notifications

If you enable notifications, we send local device notifications for habit reminders and daily motivational messages. Notification content does not contain sensitive personal data. You can disable notifications at any time in Settings.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use of Rutiner after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
